Valentine's Day Blues

Another Valentines Day is just around the corner. The looming decision of how you are going to impress your loved one this "Hallmark Holiday". Just an excuse to make you spend all your hard earned money on "flowers that wont last".

Lets review why people have such a negative perception of Valentines Day. Probably the biggest reason is the poor quality of past purchases. When I find those with a negative opinion on flowers I often find they have purchased them from a gas station or grocery store. Those tired blooms suffer from poor quality control and will never be a good value for your money.
Your best bet... Your local florist! This will guarantee that your flowers will be properly cared for throughout their travels. Changing the water every other day and keeping the stems cut will also help to extend the life of your flowers.

Another reason people are down on V-day is boredom. The same dozen roses with baby's breath and a box of chocolates is a little overplayed if you ask me. Try a dozen pink tulips instead! or a more contemporary pave design. We have tons of ideas for making your Valentines flowers unique and beautiful.

We must remember the true purpose for giving flowers on Valentines Day is to express your love to someone and to make the recipient happy! Whether it is the first time someone has received flowers or the fiftieth, if you choose Belli Fiori the recipient will be thrilled!

This past week was very busy for us. Preparing for the holidays means cleaning, cooking, and for us… building a chuppah. The Chuppah is a canopy traditionally used in a Jewish wedding ceremony. The four pillars and top of the chuppah are covered in white fabrics such as organza, silk, and chiffon. The chuppah represents hospitality to one's guests and the home the couple will build together. Although chuppahs are traditionally used in Jewish ceremonies there has been a modern trend of using the canopy for ceremonies outside of the Jewish faith. The chuppah can create the perfect alter for ceremonies outdoors or in a large ballroom. If you are interested in having a chuppah at your ceremony please let us know. Rent our chuppah for your special day!
